For Anders' official party, we went with a Very Hungry Caterpillar (book by Eric Carle) theme.  Unfortunately the day brought a snow storm that prevented some from being able to attend.  But for those that were able to make it, we had a great time!  Mommy had fun with the theme...

Anders is ONE!!!

Over Thanksgiving weekend, we celebrated Anders' actual birthday (ahead of his big party) with Nana, Papa, and cousins Meghan and Ryan.  

Anders' Fairy Godmother, Meghan, spoiled him with a new set of flashy wheels!

Despite his overall VERY hearty appetite, Anders surprised us by being a little reserved in attacking his first birthday cake...

In keeping with his siblings, Anders started walking right around his birthday.  To be more specific he pretty much started running a week before his birthday.  There is a lot going on in our household and he quickly figured out that he needs to hustle in order to keep up! Lots to be thankful for!

Thanksgiving this year was spent at Nana and Papa's house. Unfortunately we have few photos from the day, but lots of fun was had eating, visiting, and playing in the annual "Turkey Bowl".  Whitney managed to make it through the football game unscathed, but then took a tumble playing outside (resulting in a pretty good gash over her lip).
