pancakes and applesauce

Whitney's latest request to her favorite breakfast is having Max sit next to her so she can hold his hand. While Max is offered the applesauce portion of the meal, he is still declining all solid foods. But rest assured he's getting enough nourishment. Max "the tank" Kelly weighed in just above 20lbs and measured over 28 inches at his recent 6 week well-check. One can only imagine how big he'll be once he starts swallowing the solid food!

baptism conclusion

A highlight of the weekend was the dinner celebration on Saturday night. In keeping with most of our big events, we needed to have a cake that matched the occasion.

the cake was a replica of the church

Thanks to all for celebrating Max's baptism and making it a memorable weekend for us!

baptism part II

Back at the hotel the kiddos took full advantage of the indoor pool.

I'm not sure the Heidel House knew what hit it when we all descended on the pool area at once!

max's baptism weekend

Over the weekend we celebrated Max's baptism. He was baptized at the same church in central WI where we were married and had Whitney baptized. All of our family was on hand, as were Max's godparents, to make it a special weekend-long event.

the wheels were bound to come off at some point!

6 months old!

Our sweet little boy is 6 months old today. Max brightens our days with his easy smile and infectious laughter. He has been busy rolling for the past month, but only from his back to his tummy. Max has also gotten pretty good at sitting up on his own. As previously stated he's not big on solid foods and is yet to sprout his first tooth. Max has always left a little (actually a lot) to be desired in the sleep department. We recently enforced some tough love sleep training and let him cry it out. After a couple tough nights, it seems to be working. He still has a little more work to do, but his sleep habits (thus ours too) have improved tremendously. Max still loves to cuddle with any willing participant and adores his big sister.
