i found my toes!

Max found his toes yesterday and couldn't be more excited about it! He's a very active little boy and appears to be ready to roll over any moment now.

Whitney and Mona checked out the sand and surf (thankfully, not boys yet) while Mommy and Daddy enjoyed another gorgeous summer night out with friends.

back to eagle river

This past weekend we returned to Eagle River for some more "up north" fun. Our friends Sheila, Matt, and Harrison joined in on the good times. Eventhough the weather was a bit cool given the otherwise blistering hot summer, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves very much.

adventures in the midwest

Whitney and Max recently embarked on a 2 week trip throughout the midwest. The adventure began in Eagle River for a week long gathering of the Kelly clan. Unfortunately Mommy wasn't on top of her game and has only 2 pictures to show for it. Despite the lack of photographic evidence, we all had a great time.

From there we headed to Hudson for a visit with Grandma and Grandpa Carlson. Daddy was able to stay for only a day before heading home for work, but the rest of us really enjoyed our time spent together.

The big trip wrapped up with a return drive to Chicago with Mommy's friend Amy. Again Mommy dropped the ball and didn't take any pictures, but a big thanks to Amy for agreeing to an 8 hour roadtrip with 2 kids under 16 months!

Mommy, Whitney, Max and Nana enjoyed a beautiful summer day at the zoo. We had a nice picnic, rode the carousel, visited the animals, and Max was subjected to yet another one of Mommy's photo shoots.
