2 years and 2 kids later...

On May 30th we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. I'm not sure either of us anticipated being blessed with 2 wonderful children by this point. But now that we are, we couldn't imagine it any other way. We sure do have lots to be thankful for this year!

Memorial weekend was spent in Eagle River with family. This was Max's first trip up north and the cousins made sure he felt welcomed! Unfortunately Mommy did a poor job of taking pictures this weekend and didn't get any of Max and Whitney playing with all of the cousins.

2 weeks old!

Max had his 2 week well-check yesterday and everything looked great. He is long and lean like Whitney was at this age, and weighed in at 9lbs. Max continues to have his days and nights mixed up, but aside from that he is a pretty good baby. He's been very patient with his big sister as she is trying to learn the meaning of "gentle". Max is quickly realizing that he needs tough skin to survive around here!

It's a boy!

On Monday May 9th at 2:09pm, we welcomed Maxwell Theodore Kelly (aka Max) to our family. Max weighed in at a hearty 8lbs 5oz and was 22 inches long. Everything went smoothly and everyone is doing great.

Whitney stopped by with Nana and Papa to meet her baby brother. You'll notice she's waving to him as she introduces herself!

It turns out that Max also makes a nice pillow.

Whitney quickly decided that she loves her baby brother lots and wanted to show him by giving him kisses. That was pretty much the sweetest thing Mommy and Daddy have ever seen.

Whitney was very thoughtful and even brought a gift for baby Max. He is sure to treasure "Roscoe the Dog" forever.

Today was an amazing day and we are incredibly blessed to be adding Max to our family.
