love for anders

Our baby just passed the 11 month mark and bittersweetly, is closing in on becoming a toddler.  In celebration of Anders' last month as an infant, Mommy wanted to share a few more photos of our adorable little cub.

In all fairness, it should be noted that life as a lion isn't always easy...

fall fervor

Whitney, Max, and Anders celebrated the end of daylight saving time with a "fall-back" party.  They were joined by 5 of their friends and pretty much tore apart our house!  These pictures don't do justice to the melee that ensued in the band room. The decibel level rivaled parties that we had in our twenties.

Last, but not least, the Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Dorothy didn't let a little Halloween drizzle keep them down.

Halloween is one of the kids' favorite times of the year.  Our neighborhood in particular seems to really get into the festive spirit, which makes it extra fun to go on walks checking out the decorations.  In order to "keep up with the Jones'", Whitney and Max had to help pitch in this year.  

Going with a Wizard of Oz theme, the kids participated in all sorts of festivities over the past week / weekend including a pumpkin patch party, pumpkin carving, decorating our yard, a parade, and 2 days worth of storefront trick-or-treating.  And to think it's not even October 31st yet!

the sunshine state

In honor of Grandma and Grandpa Carlson becoming septuagenarians this year, we packed our bags (along with Uncle Brian, Aunt Pam, Drew, Dylan, Grandma, and Grandpa) and headed to Florida for the week.  Our beach house in Saint Augustine provided the perfect setting for enjoying the Atlantic Ocean while creating wonderful family memories.

As many people know, traveling with young ones isn't for the faint of heart...

... but it's totally worth it!
